Brandon and Shannon had the most beautiful, perfect, golden sunset on their wedding day at Bridal Veil Lakes on the Columbia Gorge in Oregon. I honestly don’t feel like those words do this wedding the justice that it deserves. It was a July day in Oregon which means the temperature could have been unbearable but it in fact, was not. It was clear, sunny, and just overall a really good day.

These two are the quintessential couple. They are goofy, they are playful and most of all – they are so in love. This was my first time working a wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes and I really hope it won’t be my last.

The first look between these two had ME crying. Shannons dad’s reaction was so pure, what every single person hopes for when they see their daughter for the first time in her wedding dress. Next up was the groom. And when I tell you that his reaction was even better, well…. just let the photos show you what I mean.

This day is hard to sum up in a short blog because it was just one of those weddings that really reminded me of what it means to document a wedding. To really take in every moment, slow down, and remember why I love my job so much. These two souls are so meant for each other, and their families joining was one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever seen.

Not only does it offer the most beautiful and enchanting forest, but the owners are wonderful to work with. I had no problem making every area look different in photos, and the backdrop is just unmatched. I truly think you should consider this place if you are still looking for a venue – and take me with you!
