3 Reasons to Book a Mini Session

What is a mini session?

A mini session is generally a 25 minute session with yours truly. We capture you and document your story in just a short snippet of time. I generally group these sessions into a marathon day so that I can capture several people in one day. If you want updated photos, but don’t want to commit to a longer shoot, this is a great option.

Reasons to book:

  1. Because if you don’t romanticize your life, who will? I am a firm believer that you have to fall in love with your life over and over again. We live in a culture that seems to be constantly comparing one another to the perfectly curated versions of ourselves on social media. This is a great opportunity to take a step back and realize where you are in your own story!
  2. A mini session is so low pressure! You don’t have to plan for multiple outfit changes, or even really have a reason for the shoot. It takes all the pressure off. Think of it like you’re just hanging out with me, your new bestie! I’ll tell you dad jokes and quote Schitt’s Creek to you. If you have a fear of being on camera, this is the way to ease that. No pressure. Just good times.
  3. You get the perfect amount of photos that don’t get lost in the digital twilight zone! As a wedding photographer, I deal with galleries with several hundreds of photos on a regular basis. And while that is perfect for documenting an entire day, your current moment in life might not require so much footage. That’s where a mini session comes in handy. Maybe you’re graduating, and want a really cute photo for the announcement. Or maybe you and your love haven’t had any new pictures in awhile. You don’t necessarily need 50 different options for those, but a few great ones would be really helpful! A mini session gives you just enough images that you can print and display them. This way you still have proof that this moment in time happened. And you don’t have to feel guilty about having your photos floating around on a hard drive somewhere never to be seen again.
