Ryan and Sav have been clients of mine for a few years now. When I tell you that they are up for anything, I really mean it. We’ve travelled all over together documenting their love story. After 10 years together, Ryan wanted to pop the question in the most epic way possible during their anniversary trip to Kauai. And even though there’s no ‘wrong’ way to propose…he did it the right way! Step one, he hired a photographer (yours truly). Step two, he planned it for the beginning of their vacation. That gave them plenty of time to celebrate for the rest of the week! If you’re thinking of a surprise proposal, this is the way to do it!

All in all, 10/10 recommend you taking me along for your proposal. No matter when or where you propose to the love of your life, having the moments documented is something I promise you will cherish forever. There are so many fun ways to plan something epic like this! Try planning an event trip like a birthday or an anniversary so they aren’t expecting it. I have a list of all my travel dates here if you want to meet up and avoid travel fees! I also know plenty of venue owners that love having proposals on their property if you prefer something more local. My best advice though – do it somewhere that is special to the both of you. It makes the memory that much more special and that place is yours forever.
