If you know me at all, you know that I LOVE animals. My dog, Laska, is my baby. I wouldn’t trade anything in the world for the photos I have with her. So when my couples ask if they can bring their dog to their photo sessions, the answer is a resounding “YES!”. Whether it’s an engagement session, family session, couples photos, or even you wedding, your fur babies are more than welcome to join us.
This is Sophie and her humans. We went out to Dietz Tree Farm, in Greenbluff for my winter mini sessions this year, and it was an absolute blast! I fully support bringing your dog to your session no matter the season. I know I might be a little bit biased, but how fun do these look?
Benefits of Bringing Your Dog to Your Couples Session
Benefit #1: Take a little bit of the pressure off! If you’re someone who doesn’t love feeling like the attention is all on you, your adorable pet is sure to steal the spotlight and distract people just enough that you can feel a little more comfortable. And because you are interacting with your dog, you’ll feel more relaxed! It’s a win-win for everyone.
Benefit #2: One of life’s most cruel truths is that dogs don’t live forever. So having these types of photos shows off the special bond we have with the furriest members of our family. Plus, they highlight some of the most special bonds you can possibly create. There’s a reason they say a dog is (wo)man’s best friend. These lovable balls of fur and chaos show us a love that is unlike any other. And that should be cherished.
Benefit #3: Photos are documentation of your memories. So having photos give you tiny little glimpses into a time period in your life. They allow you to travel back to moments that are long past. It’s an experience that memory alone simply can’t provide. That’s one reason I’m a photographer! Because I want to be able to help you preserve this reflection of your beautiful life. So anytime you can pack in a little extra to your couples photos, like the fur baby that has stolen a piece of your heart, that just means I get to capture even more love for you.
