Spring is the best time in Spokane for Engagement Sessions!
Why you ask? Well we are blessed to be in a region that has amazing wildflowers, and parks like Manito that are focused solely on flowers. I love flowers, are you picking up what I am throwing down? While being in the mountains or at a beach is obviously ideal, I think going to our local park and taking engagement photos here can be very special. This Spokane engagement session really brought to life why I think city parks are sometimes overlooked. Living in an urban city that has such a vibrant location almost year round feels very lucky.
Tell me about Manito park:
Manito park is located on the South Hill in South Spokane.
Some fun facts to know about the park:
- Manito Park was officially established in April 1904 and has evolved from an undeveloped recreational area with a few flower beds, picnic spots, and a zoo to one of Spokane’s primary showplaces.
- The Parks and Recreation Department maintains Manito Park’s 78 acres of native and cultivated landscape and 20 acres of world class botanical gardens.
- Comprised of five major garden areas (the Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden, Duncan Garden, Rose Hill, Lilac Garden and Ferris Perennial Garden), Manito Park is nationally recognized for its diverse horticultural displays.
Finding a place that is special to the both of you for your engagement session is so important. I just want to put out into the universe that it doesn’t have to be “epic” if that makes sense. Manito park holds a special place in these two’s hearts as it is where he proposed! In fact that bench right above is where they committed to their forever.
Documenting your love is all that matters, and I love to document it in the most honest and real way possible. That starts with your trust!
It’s the dog for me, every single time
And obviously I am here to tell you repetitively to BRING YOUR DOG TO YOUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION! Spokane engagement sessions are easy for me because literally everywhere is doggo friendly anymore. Enjoy some of my favorites with the goodest boy around. He really stole the show.
Finding a beautiful location for your Spokane engagement shouldn’t feel hard. We live in the inland northwest which gets ALL four seasons. No matter the type of location you have in mind, I am sure we will be able to choose something that speaks to your heart.
