Mt. Rainier Elopement

Romantic Mt. Rainier National Park Elopement in October

Halfway to the top of Paradise at Mt. Rainier National Park

Cyrrene & Max hosted their elopement at one of the most amazing venues on the planet, the Copper Creek Inn at the base of Mt. Rainier National Park! When I tell you that my jaw hit the floor constantly during this entire day, it would be an understatement. This elopement was the perfect example of making your elopement day completely your own, and about your love. From starting their day in the grove forest at the base of the mountain to saying their vows in front of their immediate friends and family surrounded by every fall color you could imagine – this day was completely perfect.

About Mt. Rainier National Park & How to Elope there!

Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape. An active volcano, Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., spawning five major rivers. Subalpine wildflower meadows ring the icy volcano while ancient forest cloaks Mount Rainier’s lower slopes. Wildlife abounds in the park’s ecosystems. A lifetime of discovery awaits.

What to know about getting married at Mt. Rainier National Park:

Weddings inside the Mt. Rainier National Park are allowed by special use permit. Campground amphitheaters, predetermined areas, or picnic areas may be used. Contact the park for specific requirements and locations.

When booking a wedding or elopement with me, I am more than familiar with the permit process and will obtain all of the necessary paperwork to ensure a smooth time while taking photos or doing the ceremony inside the park. There is a list of locations you are able to have small ceremonies at which I can research with you, and help pick the perfect spot depending on group size and backdrop preference! If you’d like to review the special use permit yourself, you can find that here.

Private vows in Longmire, WA. inside Mt. Rainier National Park

When planning their elopement, the original plan was to have their ceremony inside of the National Park, but as guest count grew… it made the most sense to use the gorgeous space for their ceremony at Copper Creek inn where most of the guest were staying. From the Ashford entrance, it is easily a 45-50 minute drive to the top of Paradise on a good day so definitely factor that into your timeline when you are planning your day!

Below, take a look at the amazing set up by The Local Event Co. They are truly a one stop shop when it comes to all inclusive planning and making sure your day runs absolutely perfectly.

Choosing to have the day you want means choosing to roll with whatever happens. For us that meant completely shifting the timeline because going to the top of the mountain for gorgeous portraits was the priority. They also very much wanted to have private vows. To me, this is what weddings should be about. The couple. And can I tell you a secret? Not a single family member or guest objected and fully was present to support these two wholeheartedly. That to me is the biggest take away from this gorgeous day. Immense love from every single person. Enjoy some of my favorites as you continue to scroll through, and if you want to plan an adventure that tailors to whatever calls to your heart …. you know where to find me!

Fall at Copper Creek inn is UNMATCHED!
The change in season was so drastic… this was only a 12 minute drive up from where we did their private vows! Elopements in National Parks will ALWAYS have my heart.

We made it to the top of Paradise and immersed ourselves in this winter wonderland.

Cheers to forever and ever, Cyrrene & Max. I really can’t put into words how much I love you both and this day. Let’s do it once a year, deal?
