There’s no better way to get a guaranteed yes than a beautifully staged proposal. These two lovebirds fell in love in the winter, so when Chris was ready to pop the question, he knew his proposal had to take place in a snowy wonderland. Mount Spokane delivered! This was the dreamiest backdrop for this absolute smoke show couple on this perfect day.
Aubrey knew something was up. Call it intuition, or maybe Chris was acting a little strange, but she made this video right before their session…and you can guess the rest of the story. It was so cute to see this after the fact, and know that he had a little something up his sleeve the whole time.
If you know me at all, you know my heart belongs to the mountains. Maybe it’s Laska my husky rubbing off on me! There’s just something about the snow that makes everything feel elevated. It’s a blank slate to the world. And it’s an ideal spot to make memories that will last you a life time.
Since Chris and Aubrey fell in love in the winter, it was a no-brainer to have a couples session in this fresh snow! We headed up the mountain, and I played third wheel to these two as they played in the snow and loved on each other.
Then it was time, and it happened! I’m serious when I say this was smooth criminal status. I prompted him prior to when and how he should do it. You always want that moment to be absolutely iconic, and when I say he nailed the move – he nailed the damn move! Chris spun Aubrey around in an effortless twirl, got down on one knee, and asked the best question ever. Obviously, she said yes! There was hugging, kissing, shock and awe. We topped off the day with a champagne spray, a couple sips to seal the deal, and headed back down the mountain with our hearts so full. This moment is one they’ll tell people about for the rest of their lives. The proposal is such a cool part of your love story and your history together. There’s definitely no wrong way to ask someone to be your happily ever after. But if you’re looking for inspiration for an absolutely magical and romantic gesture, look no further.
