Sami + Robert had the most beautiful wedding on a sunny Monday afternoon at Hagadone Event Center at the Coeur d’Alene Resort

Sami reached out to me about getting engagement photos done and our amazing friendship evolved from there. Our time together included Engagement Photos in Spokane, more engagement photos in Maui, HI, a re-planned COVID wedding in Palm Springs, to finally their perfect day in CDA, ID at the resort.

I can’t even begin to tell you how honored I feel to be the one that has captured Sami & Robert’s love. This couple has truly turned into a lifelong friendship and I am so thankful.

Here is our journey with Jaime and planning a wedding during a pandemic:

First of all, we are so happy that we were able to meet you and have you capture some of our most special moments. From our engagement session in the fall, to an amazing Kaanapali session in Maui, my boudoir session, and to be there for the long haul for our wedding. Also, I should side note here that we NEVER had professional pictures done and were so nervous too. When we got there for our first fall engagement session Jaime was the best at helping us pose and making us feel comfortable!

Our wedding was originally planned for 5.4.20 in Palm Springs, CA and Jaime was willing to travel with us to be there, but due to COVID-19 our wedding was canceled by the resort about two months before. This was such a bummer having the wedding that I pictured and spent so much time planning gone in the blink of an eye. I knew I wasn’t going to wait another year for a wedding, so I reached out to Jaime letting her know what had happened. The first thing she did was offer to help! Mind you she had just got engaged, was dealing with many other brides in the same situation, and we were in the middle of a pandemic.

She helped me connect to some local vendors and sent me venue ideas! Jaime was always on top of letting me know the dates she could do and doing her best to work with our schedule too.

We were at the point where we were just trying to find something that could fit our budget and basic wedding needs. The stress was becoming overwhelming from planning a wedding and now navigating planning during a time with so much uncertainty. We got very lucky and found a day that worked and ended up getting married on 7.13.20 at the Hagadone Event Center at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. Having our wedding at the resort was extra special because that is where we had our first date and got engaged!

Our wedding turned out as the most picture perfect day and better than I could have ever dreamed of. I know this was not the case for many brides in this situation and that we were very fortunate to have everything work out for us as it did.

The day would not have gone nearly as smooth without Jaime there guiding us the entire day. She made sure that we got all the pictures that we wanted, that my hair and makeup looked good, and even brought some smoke bombs for pictures which were SO COOL. I cannot thank you enough for being there through all of this craziness and for all of the BEAUTIFUL pictures. The pictures from the wedding especially are something that we will always hold close to our hearts and couldn’t have been any better. I just love this couple so much! I cannot put into words what this journey with them has meant to me. Sami and Robert truly were the epitome of just wanting to celebrate their love, no matter what happened.

If there’s anything that COVID has taught me.. it’s that Plan B weddings are just as perfect. And sometimes, even better than the original plan.
