Olympic Nat’l Park Elopement

Are you ready to see the sweetest elopement with all of the twilight vibes you could hope for? This Olympic National Park elopement is one of my favorite days I’ve ever been apart of!

Choosing the right location for an elopement can seem very daunting. I always offer a few tips on how to choose a place that will be special for your day.

  1. Is there somewhere you and your partner enjoy traveling to? Where did you take your first trip together? Is there somewhere you’ve always wanted to go?
  2. Make a trip out of the spot! When I tell you that there is no better way than to choose somewhere you can do activities, kick back and relax, and make a week out of it…. do it! Take the time. This is the most important time in your life, so pick somewhere that calls to your heart in all of the ways!
  3. What kind of elements are important to you? Do you love being outdoors? Have you envisioned a rooftop in the city? Do you want to rent a cabin on the beach? Go to Europe? This day is about the two of you. Every single elopement i’ve photographed has had the people there that matter most. Wanna know why? It’s because they love you. I’ve travelled all over the PNW for these, heck I am about to fly across the world to Greece with 45 people! You can do whatever your heart desires. I promise, if having guests there IS important to you… they will come.

Pizza party, anyone?

Danielle and Tyler opted for a slow morning making pizzas together and getting ready with their parents. To me, this is a perfect reminder that you can do whatever you want on your wedding day. Their cabin was less than a 20 minute drive from their ceremony location on Lake Crescent at Olympic National Park. We held the ceremony portion on the dock on the far side of the lake. It was BEAUTIFUL!

What do we do to make our elopement longer?

Next up, we gathered around a picnic table and ate pizza + cake. Their parents made the sweetest toasts, and it was truly such a perfect end to a magnificent day. After that, we headed back down to the water and took their couples portraits. Overall this elopement was about 6-7 hours and it felt like it just flew by. When you are having fun – isn’t that what happens?

If you want to plan a fun but slow day like this, say less. I’d love to help you choose the perfect location that speaks to you as a couple. We can do as much as you’d like – or as little as you’d like. This Olympic National Park elopement kind of had the best of all aspects of what an elopement really should be.
