A magical misty twilight inspired day exploring the Olympic National Park coast at Rialto beach and Lake Cresent for elopement portraits.
Emily and Dallas flew from the midwest to experience the Pacific Northwest for the first time and have their elopement portraits done here. Fun fact: A lot of people are now opting to travel somewhere on their bucket list to have photos done in addition to their wedding day! There is nothing more special to me than taking someone somewhere that means so much to me and watching them light up and experience it for the first time.
Olympic National Park is such a versatile National park. You have mountains, beach, lakes, and rainforest. It is vast, green, and always provides an absolutely magical and different landscape every time I visit. These two opted to start their adventure elopement day with me at Rialto beach. From there, we stopped at a rainforest spot and continued on to finish at Lake Crescent.
A little tip –
Finding a place that fits what you are looking for to go on an adventure is important. These are the photos you will print and hang on your wall. Make sure to envision what you see as a backdrop first, plan from there.
The morning at the beach provided with such beautiful true PNW weather. It was exactly what they hoped for. Once we went to the rainforest the greens left them in awe. I totally understand this, because even after growing up here every time I step into the rainforest I feel the same way. I love when people travel here hoping to have a “Twilight experience” because that usually means they want the moody weather that we are blessed with.
Finally we were blessed with a little drizzle of PNW rain which gave us the most beautiful rainbow to finish our time together. To me, giving someone a fun and memorable experience is just as important as the photos. I absolutely loved my time that I shared with these two. Adventure sessions and elopements are so special. They allow you to slow down and really take in where you are. I feel so grateful to have been apart of these memories for Emily and Dallas.
