Is there anything better than a sunset in San Diego? Add in a gorgeous couple celebrating their Maternity Session and you have a picture perfect day at the beach. April started following me on Instagram because I photographed a friend of hers and we connected instantly. I knew we were going to be fast friends and sure enough we ended up spending almost 3 hours together photographing her and vance and their little love. It didn’t feel like a session though, it felt like 3 friends playing on the beach together.

Maternity sessions don’t have to be formal. They can be anything you want them to be. These two have such a love for the beach and the ocean so it only made sense that we find a perfect spot like this to celebrate their next phase of life together. The Sunset cliffs are one of my absolute favorite parts of San Diego and they offer such an out of this world backdrop.

If you want to go to San Diego, I am your girl. It’s a quick flight down, and it used to be my home.
