A true Pacific Northwest morning up at Rattlesnake lake last weekend for this gorgeous moody twilight vibe engagement session.

I love getting people to wake up early and go before the crowds to some of the best gems of the Seattle area. Rattlesnake Lake is the perfect place for an engagement session. Picking colors for your outfits that compliment the setting is super important – if you need help choosing or bouncing ideas to come to a good conclusion, just ask me! I love helping in every way that I can. Neutral colors for most Pacific Northwest settings is truly the way to go.

These two were an absolute joy for their engagement session!

They wanted photos that felt very much like twilight but still remaining close to the city, and I think we nailed the vision. The joy and vibe they brought to their session was such a fun time. Lots of laughs. Lots of tickles. Lots of running around smiling. That is my favorite kind of session. Having your photo taken is NERVE-WRACKING and I understand that. Finding a happy medium of a place or an activity that feels comfy and natural to you is a great way to let the jitters go a little bit and come out of your shell.

Engagement sessions don’t have to be epic long hikes, they don’t have to be super elaborate. They should feel and look like YOU and your love. Period. This location has a very walkable trail and straight lake access right from the parking lot. You can wear heels and still get the look you want out in nature!
