Seattle Engagement Photos at Golden Gardens Park

Let’s face it, picking a spot for your engagement photos is a feat. Do you go into the mountains? Do you go to a coffee shop? What feels like you? One of my favorite places to do engagement photos is at all of the coastal parks in the Seattle area. Not only do they provide a beautiful backdrop, but a place like Golden Gardens is ideal because you get the beach and lush greenery!

Puget sound is always a bit moody, and for that reason I LOVE taking engagement photos anytime I can. Fun fact: Overcast weather is the BEST situation for your photographer. It provides even light and normal colors. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good golden hour session but if we are taking photos during the day this is my first choice of weather.

Picking a place that feels like ~you~

When choosing your engagement session location think of a place you and your partner frequent often. Whether it’s a coffee shop or a beach you go on Sundays to relax and recharge, choosing a spot that is comfortable is key. I can make anywhere look beautiful but the emotion that is conveyed and captured in a spot that is special to you is unmatched.

This Golden Gardens engagement session was no different. These two love to go for walks in this spot and they just adopted the cutest puppy that they plan to bring here and play! Lowkey they adopted the cutest beagle ever and I can’t wait to meet him.
